22 Seconds: REMASTERED
After a one year wait... it's back.
22 Seconds has been remastered! With my newer, more efficient, and smarter knowledge of game dev, I have remastered the original game for preparations...
Speaking of the original: https://nikslabs.itch.io/22-seconds
Featuring...
- Newer graphics
- Slight enemy changes
- Code reworks
- Bug fixes
- A new ending screen
Why?
22 Seconds is getting a sequel! No, the remastered version isn't the sequel, it's a new, separate game. Although, I shan't give too much information on it, so I'll keep it simple.
It is a massive upgrade on the first game. It's built from the ground up to be a better and more enjoyable experience.
and it may introduce a little lore...
That didn't answer my question...
Oh, right. Why you ask? Because I wanted to, and I'm bored. So, I thought I'd do a little something to get more attention to 22 Seconds, and make a more enjoyable version of it since the second game is just better in every way. The remastered version takes the original game and makes it more similar to the sequel, which includes a variety of new additions. And although nothing is really added to this version, there's is still improvements. Especially audio, it really sucked looking at the old code and how I did the audio. That junk was gut wrenching to work on.
Where have you been?
Uh... school? I guess that's the only real response I have. I only make games when I need to for school, and I plan to change that soon. Not too soon though so don't get your hopes up. So basically, no I'm not depressed, dying, or burnt-out, just still staying silly. Because, why spend all my time making games when I should focus on more important things?
Will there ever be more 22 Seconds?
I dunno.
Like, possibly... maybe... I genuinely don't know. It really just depends if I want to expand the universe or not, which I would like to, but that's for future me.
DON'T LEAVE US AGAIN
Don't worry silly, I won't, nor do I plan to. I will always be uploading games to Itch, whether free or paid. I'm more of a quality than quantity person.
Which is kinda why the sequel took a hot minute...
So, that's it? You plan to drop a remastered version of the game and the sequel, then just leave?
The first part? Yeah. Leave? Heck no. I'll know if I want to make a new game of the universe in the future, which, I might. And like I said before, no I'm not leaving, ever. My games will always be here.
So, enjoy the remaster for now. It should be less torturous than the original.
